RRINEWSS.COM- Dumai — Barring any unforeseen circumstances, tomorrow night the Dumai City Javanese and Surrounding Family Association (IKJS) Management for the 2026–2029 term is scheduled to be inaugurated and confirmed by IKJS Dumai Advisor, H. Suparto Wiguno, and witnessed by Dumai Mayor H. Paisal, on Wednesday (June 24, 2026) at the Pendopo Building on Jalan Putri Tujuh, Dumai City.
The inauguration follows the unanimous election of Sugiyarto, SE, who also serves as Deputy Mayor of Dumai, as Chair of the Dumai City IKJS for the 2026–2029 term at the Extraordinary General Meeting (Mubeslub) held on June 7, 2026, at the IKJS building on Jalan Semangka, Dumai.
The event is scheduled to be attended by Javanese community elders, traditional leaders, association administrators, community organizations, as well as several officials and invitees from the Dumai City Government.
The elected Chair of the Dumai City IKJS, Sugiyarto, SE, stated that the inauguration is a crucial moment to mark the beginning of the new management’s three-year leadership. He stated that after being officially inaugurated, the management will immediately formulate and implement a work program focused on strengthening the organization, preserving Javanese culture, engaging in social activities, and increasing synergy with various parties.
“This inauguration marks the beginning of our work and dedication through IKJS. We hope that all administrators can work together to build a solid organization that benefits the community,” he said.
Sugiyarto expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the trust placed in him. He emphasized that the effort to grow IKJS is not solely the responsibility of the chairman, but a shared responsibility of all administrators and members of the organization.
“I express my gratitude for the trust placed in me. With togetherness and a spirit of mutual cooperation, I am confident that IKJS can once again become a large and beneficial organization for the community,” he said.
The inauguration and inauguration of the 2026–2029 management also symbolizes the revival of IKJS after several years of inactivity due to a leadership vacuum. With the new management, IKJS is expected to play a more active role as a unifying forum for the Javanese community and the surrounding areas and become a strategic partner in supporting the development of Dumai City.
