First Anniversary of the Jambak Extended Family, Wako: Where the Earth is Stepped on and the Sky is Struggled

RRINEWSS.COM-  DUMAI – The Mayor of Dumai H Paisal is committed to continuing to serve in preserving the various traditions and culture that exist in Dumai City.

He conveyed this when attending the First Anniversary of the Jambak Riau Big Family (KBJR) Dumai City which was lively and lively, at Sri Bunga Tanjung Hall, Sunday (28/7/2024).

The first anniversary of the Dumai City KBJR carries the big theme “Charity, Devotion, Working Together to Build the Country and Culture will continue to be preserved towards Dumai, the Dream City Where the Earth is Stepped, Disinan Langiak is Struggled”.

“Apart from being a gathering place for the extended Jambak family, this event was also paired with the inauguration of the Minang Sibalang Champo Jambak Arts Studio, marked by the beating of the traditional Minang Tambua musical instrument by the Mayor of Dumai,” said General Chairperson of KBJR Dumai Datuak Malano Bagading Ameh Huzaimi Alataf.

“We, on behalf of the Dumai Municipal Government, really appreciate the arts and culture studios from the associations in Dumai City which are now increasingly showing their existence. One of them is a studio from the extended Jambak family called Sanggar Sibalang Champo,” he said.

He also asked for the active participation of the Minang Sibalang Champo Arts Studio to help enliven routine arts and culture activities sponsored by the Dumai City Government in the Multi-Ethnic Cultural Performance. “Let’s preserve the various ethnic cultures in Dumai City because this is a legacy to strengthen the unity of the Dumai community through arts and culture. ” he said. Finally, H Paisal congratulated the 1st Anniversary of KBJR Dumai.

He hopes that the forum for Jambak tribal residents in Dumai City will always adhere to the proverb where the earth is stepped on, there the sky is upheld. “Hopefully in its first year, KBJR Dumai will be even more successful, remain united, continue to maintain conduciveness and be able to synergize with the Dumai City Government in various fields, especially the economic, social and cultural fields,” he concluded.

The Dumai City KBJR First Anniversary event was also enlivened with various performances. At the start of the welcoming event, the Mayor of Dumai together with Danlanal Dumai and elements of Forkopimda Dumai City paraded from the Mayor’s Residence to the event venue accompanied by Junjuang Dulang, Tambua Music, Talempong and Dance.

In the middle of the event, the Minang Sibalang Champo Jambak Arts Studio under the guidance of Bundo Titin Dona performed the Piriang Dance. There were also religious lectures and Minang traditional advice delivered by Ustadz Dinul Falhan Datuak Bandaro Basa. Apart from showing a variety of dances, Tambua and Talempong music games, the KBJR Arts Studio also presents Rebana and Choir Groups.***(ant)
