RRINEWSS.COM- DUMAI – In the context of National Polio Immunization Week (PIN), the Mayor of Dumai, H. Paisal was accompanied by the Chairman of the Dumai PKK TP, Hj. Leni Ramaini directly observed the process of administering the Polio vaccine to children aged 0-7 years in a number of schools in the city of Dumai.
The first polio vaccine was given, Tuesday (23/07/2024), at An-Namiroh Kindergarten and Santo Tarcisius Kindergarten, Dumai City. Mayor of Dumai with Mother of Early Childhood Education of Dumai City, Hj. Leni Ramaini, Kadinkes H Syaiful administered polio vaccine drops and witnessed the process of administering drip vaccines to children.
Mayor of Dumai H. Paisal appealed to the people of Dumai City to immediately take their children aged 0-7 years, to the nearest National Immunization Week (PIN) POS.
“We appeal to all the people of Dumai City to immediately take their children from the ages of 0-7 years, to the nearest National Immunization Week (PIN) POS, such as Posyandu, PAUD, Kindergarten, Orphanage which will be held on July 23-29 first round and August 6-12 in the second round,” he said During his review, the Mayor of Dumai, Paisal admitted that the Polio Vaccine is very important for the health of Dumai’s golden generation, because a physically strong generation will create brilliant development in the city of Dumai.
“So parents, don’t be afraid, this Polio vaccine drop is Halal, and of course it will prevent our children from contracting Polio disease which can hinder the growth of our generation,” he said.
Head of the Dumai Health Service, Dr. Syaiful, revealed that in the city of Dumai, the target to be vaccinated is 49,866 children aged 0 to 7 years 11 months. “Each child will be given two vaccines, the first vaccine will be given two drops, in the next two weeks they will be given two more drops,” he said.***(ant)
